Executive Coaching
Executive Coaching is normally driven by 2 key motivations: Self improvement or Business/SLT improvements. Executive coaching differs from business coaching due to the focus on the journey rather than a fixed destination. Most of our short-comings as an Executive are influenced by our communication, which in turn is influenced by our blind-spots. Executive coaching provides a safe environment for you to explore your blind-spots, improve your interactions with internal and external stakeholders and to define your legacy. How you are remembered at the end of your Stewardship will be the measure of your success as an Executive. We incorporate teachings from some of the top Executive Coaches and Business Mentors across the world, including Marshall Goldsmith; John Maxwell; Peter Drucker; Stephen Covey (Snr & Jnr), Dr John Blakey and combine this with the best tools (behavioural assessments, motivators, EQ) to develop your skills.
Sometimes Executive Coaching takes the form of "Forced Coaching" - i.e. Take the best traits of someone within an ELT/SLT and upskill everyone else; Addressing individual performance or behavioural traits or developing a SLT to operate at a higher level, often allowing the owner/founder to step back with confidence in the succession plan.

Leadership is an Artform and as such is seen as a continuous evolution rather than a "Have or Have Not". Given the plethora of books, theories and training that exist on how to be a great Leader, our approach is a little different. We take the view that in order to be deemed a great leader, you must BE a great leader. Hence we focus on your values, beliefs and behaviours. Gone are the days where Leaders set the example, Leaders must set the standards! You must BE a visionary - be able to see what isn't, and show people that the previously impossible is possible for them, you must enrol and inspire and you must create the environment for people to grow into, rather than constraining them. You must BE trusted so that people willingly follow you. You must BE purpose driven, capable, demonstrate integrity, BE benevolent and do all of this with humility and caring. Finally you MUST demonstrate true OWNERSHIP.

There are numerous definitions of High Performing Teams in sports, the arts and business. In business it is worth remembering that people do not run businesses - so having a high performing team will not get you results on its own. The truth is that Systems run businesses, and people run systems. Hence the first part of building a high performing business is to build high performing systems, and to have a consistent way of measuring and improving them - In the words of James Clear - "We do not rise to the level of our goals and aspirations, we simply fall to the level of our processes and systemisation". Once we have the systems in place, then we have a consistent and repeatable operating system. We can now move on to developing the "operators" - i.e. the team. We then work across 7 key drivers of o high performing team so you are left with a business where the routine in systemised and the exception is humanised.
